Until the Grave

O radiant moon, arise thou now,
and cast the light for which I yearn.
Break thou the hush of night so still,
let thy lone melody return—
to echo through each vale and deep,
through chasm wide and caverns grave,
and rise again to heaven’s breast,
where boundless skies their vigil keep.

Behold, a pair of watchful eyes
through burdened clouds doth softly gleam;
their luster bears the trembling stars
to fireflies in flick’ring dream—
that dance upon the shadowed earth,
in tune with crickets’ gentle cry,
till every spark and trembling light
gives voice unto the silent sky.

Ne’er have I failed to render gratitude
for every breath Thou hast bestowed;
each fleeting sigh, each living grace,
along life’s winding, fleeting road.
And this my vow I carry still,
through fleeting hour and mortal wave—
each breath, each prayer, each trembling grace,
I bear with me unto the grave.

Inner Voice:
This song unfolds as a quiet midnight prayer—expressing a longing for light, a search for meaning within silence, and a gentle awareness of the Divine. Through imagery of the moon, sky, and echoing earth, it captures a deep gratitude for every breath given, a tender vow to carry that gratitude until the very end of life.
