Steer clear of routes leading to division or oblivion.

Bring us together in a lively spirit that remains steadfast.

بِاسْمِ الرِّضَا نُحِبُّ، وَبِصَمْتِ الْحَنِينِ نَبْقَى

In the name of contentment we love,

and in the silence of longing we remain

فِي ظِلِّ الْقُبْلَةِ الَّتِي لَا يَرَاهَا سِوَانَا

In the shadow of the Qiblah that no one else sees

نَسْجُدُ عَلَى نَبْضٍ وَاحِدٍ، نَبْضُك وَنَبْضِي
وَنَقُولُ:

We prostrate on one pulse, your pulse and my pulse.

And we say:

اللهم اجعل حُبَّنَا سِتْرًا، وَرِضَاكَ وَجْهَتَنَا
O Lord, make our love a cover, and Your pleasure our destination.

وَاشْرَحْ صُدُورَنَا بِذِكْرِ مَنْ نُحِبُّ
And expand our hearts with the remembrance of those we love

وَلَا تَجْعَلْ لِلْفِرَاقِ طَرِيقًا، وَلَا لِلنِّسْيَانِ سَبِيلًا
Do not make a path to separation, nor a way to forgetfulness.

وَاجْمَعْنَا فِي قَلْبٍ لَا يَمُوتُ، وَلَا يَضِلُّ
And unite us in a heart that does not die and does not go astray.

فِي دُنياكَ، وَفِي أُخْرَاكَ، وَفِي مَا بَيْنَ الضُّلُمَاتِ وَالنُّورِ.

In this world, in the hereafter, and between darkness and light.
